Golden City Pipe Band Fundraising

Golden City Pipe Band does not have any major sponsors at present, and our fundraising efforts are the only way by which we are able to finance the purchase of new equipment, and provide partial subsidies for member's trips to various competitions.

Our current project is the disposal of various older items of band uniform and/or equipment that are now surplus to our requirements. There's just about enough here to equip a smallish pipe band. Prices are not given because we are open to negotiation. Also, quantities available depend on where you draw the line as to condition -- although there are at least 10 good pieces, and probably 20 or more of most items. Band policy is that any money received from the disposal of assets should be spent on acquisition of new assets. We intend using the money from this sale to purchase much-needed cases for our drums -- in particular, some of our side drums are currently transported in cardboard boxes, and our bass and tenor drums have canvas cases which provide no protection at all from handling accidents.
