Golden City Pipe Band Photos, December 2001

These photos cover most of the second half of 2001, when a lot happened but not too many photos seemed to get taken. Events in this period included the band's move to Strathfieldsaye, the Mini Bands Contest, the Bendigo Ceilidh, Daniel and Helen's trip to Scotland and various playouts. Most of these photos appeared (in monochrome) in the December 2001 issue of "Pipeline" Click on the "thumbnail" photo for a larger picture. In June we finally said goodbye to the old School St hall in California Gully, finalising our move to the Strath Sports Club. Here Ann, Karen and Brian sort through the junk at our final garage sale.

Daniel ran the sausage sizzle at the garage sale. Here he is showing off the wares.

The Bendigo Minibands contest was held in July. Ann and Melissa are seen here running the "front of house" desk.

In early November we welcomed the first graduates from the City School of Piping. Luke, Kirstie and Callum show off their CSoP shirts with school founder Leonie.

The graduates pose again with Pipe Major Helen.

Everyone involved in the first-graduation group of the City School of Piping joins in for a group photo.

Daniel resting after the famous "six pints" episode, and looking a little worse for wear...

The Bendigo Combined Pipe Bands Ceilidh was held in September with "Claymore" from Melbourne. Here the band shows off their "4-bodran trick".

The "Two Scroggies" do their pipe and side drum duet at the Ceilidh.

Kirstie and Luke had their first uniformed playout with the band at the Castlemaine Music in the Park in late November.
